Occupy Flag Design

    Together, lets design a flag for Occupy Together, worldwide. I will facilitate the design process and sew the first occupy flags, with other Occupiers in SF. I am based in San Francisco, and I will sew, like betsy ross, a bunch of them at my fabric studio, and then ship some off, and provide the design to Wall St and other Occupy movements. Occupy Together needs a flag design, a common symbol of the movement that is recognizable and bold. A flag that will visually unify Occupy, worldwide.

    My thoughts on the flag design:
    -no text or numbers
    -Red, White and Black
    -Bold visual that can be easily sewn from fabric or drawn on a poster, that is recognizable and distinct from a distance.
    -Unity

    If you have an idea for the flag design, or thoughts on what should be included in the design, concepts or visuals, please add to this thread.

    I think we should avoid obvious anger memes, like the big red fist, consider symbols of equity, transparency, and hope.

    I agree. I've been uncomfortable with the fist. It is bold and graphic. How about the white dove? Only problem with that is the peace symbols don't seem to have the same passion.

    The author (or someone he knows ?) developed a really nice WOOP symbol, that you should consider. WOOP is more or less manifest in occupiers' actions around the world now. Could "Occupy Wall Street" grow into WOOP and realize the full potential of people around the world?
