    I am more disturbed by OWS that is discouraging people to participate!!! It's what they told me on Facebook pretty much when I asked about going there. wtf

  • Sickening. Occupy Denver had a trash truck parked in the middle of the encampment, cops were thrashing the tents, dismantling the huge canopy, and throwing away all the people's stuff after dispersing them and banning them from salvaging it. Disgraceful.

    Not only stealing their first amendment rights, but stealing their stuff too. Protecting and serving the will of the 1%. Nice
  • @JanMarbol I have heard this before. I don't know what the deal is... I bet if you go down there you'd be more welcomed. It just seems like they are very exclusive online. I can't find any contacts from OWS, while actively seeking them out. I think it's just a defense mechanism. We all love what's taking place here and sometimes people may become a little overbearing in protecting it.

    @JanMarbol

    Everyone can come down to the parks and camp out, to like the facebook page to join because we are everyone, we are the 99%, You are the 99%. I wish we could get that point across, everyone should bring a hand-held mirror and chant, you are the 99% to get it through the rest of the populations head.

    As for the "Occupy Online Club", It's a defense mechanism, there are some very rowdy provocateurs in the group who instill violence and anarchy , which we do not want.Online I've noticed OWS is exclusive (I'm guessing to stop people from breaking up the group and swaying us down a unwanted road). But I've stopped at plenty of locations and was welcomed by young , mid-aged and elders with open arms. You are welcome to join OWS on facebook , however, facebook is questionable , I've gotten strange requests after liking the group from people who do not have verified accounts or pictures. My email has went down a numerous amount of times, only to say "There is strange activity on your account, please call in to verify). Facebook's team posst odd comments about videos about Occupy.

    Those people are not Occupy. They are provocateurs.

    But go to your nearest Occupy location, you will be welcomed and you find out it is for all races, classes , ages and genders.

    Good luck.

    I agree w/both of you (MundusVultDecipi and BrightestEye) Thanks for reaffirming my thoughts!

    As far as the abuse, I think we should all (whoever is at the Occupy places) carry a copy of the Bill of Rights, and show them Art 1 when they are "asked" leave and state that that is our permit. (I saw a copy of the bill or rights on a facebook post stating "we're not camping - this is our permit") and I thought this is excellent, so I propose everyone carry a copy of it on them. Not that it will deter them much, but who knows. It's the law after all. I am going to see if I can somehow upload the image here.
