Was wondering if these rules are true? I agree with them by the way, but just wondering if they are "official" since "demands" were posted as official at one point in the beginning (demands as to what the movement expected, not the rules) and then someone clarified that it was just a draft of one member's opinion.

    thanks!

I sincerly hope so,, there needs to be some sort of order so as not to give the establishment excuses to evict or arrest the protesters and there needs to be a networking of intitiators and organizers in order to bring more focas to the movement,,I have spoken to others who like me are interested in the proposal of having a meeting in philly on the fourth and finding ways to occupy the goverment so as to effect the changes needed and anyone interested in this will soon be able to connect with occupythegov.com coming soon,,in the meantime I for one would like to hear from those who are interested in this type of proposal....

I agree completely... order out of disorder is important (as long, of course, it doesn't become too fascist/policing in itself) And this proposal or set of rules is completely logical! I also vote yes for it (if there is a vote)
  • I find mutual respect is more important than more rules as it seems rules are for people who do not have principles and they need a principal or an institution to keep order, I myself is not allied with institutional ways of new rules. How about following the constitution for a start- The link looked like CONgress at work!

I agree.. but I think those "rules" are based on respect... in face most rules/laws are b/c like you say, ppl need rules like laws or the bible to know how to live. I just got an email from Democracy for America and I'm wondering why the hell they have that name, asking if they should support the movement. At around the third question, I asked them if Karl Rove was running their place... are they kidding? Why don't they just ask which amendment they should back up.
