we shouldn't have one leader we should have millions..if we put are hope into one person the government loves to exploit that..we should create a marge of leaders like millions of Gandhi's Martin Luther Kings Cesar Chavez's Howard Zinns... and new ones too..i think with that type of tactic we can have swift change..very quick... racism is a propaganda tool..we are all people in the struggle..in a way we should all become like a type of one person..where we are indestructible to any propaganda or jail time..I love our 99 percent..

    too true ;)

Exactly. Every one of us should be a leader. Another reason is because it makes it enormously harder to squash the movement. Rallying around a single leader gives the elite a target and it would be almost a certaintly that he or she would be found dead with an unconvincing suicide note or would be shot down by one of the C.I.A.'s "lone nut assassins". See what happened in the 1960s to JFK, RFK, Dr. King and Malcolm X.

If we are all leaders they can't kill all of us.

True but incomplete; It is necessarry that some who are courageous step to the front as spokesperson(s)/representatives to speak on behalf of the group; It is also necessarry others are ready to step up and take their place at a moments notice.

@Evolution101 well that theory is indeed a leadership role for one person.. we just cant put all of our emotional hope into one spokesperson or two..this revolution cant be like one's past it has to take the good and the bad and create something different because having a person represent us is making the movement a walking target .. we have to learn from history that every leader that was killed ended the movement...we can have several hundred people ..rather then one or two..this time it has to be far more anonymous to succeed .. the only real solution is to form our own political party and have candidates that's the only form of leadership i feel we can truly support..but in terms of the protesters having a person as there only voice i think is history just repeating itself..

@Brutal_Truth yeah you said it the goverment is into eliminating the problem if they don't know what to eliminate they are powerless..the goverment is pure psychological force the rule with manipulation and fear through media..as long as where educated and united we can overcome them swiftly..we just need to have our goals in order our demands and that's it..protest those to happen and the will become law just as civil rights did.. and the right for women to vote..we just need our goals is all.. but personally i don't think the goverment is stupid enough to kill anyone the way the once did. In this day and time..we have to upper hand via technology and mass information..it would make things worse on there part now.

Did you even bother reading my comment? In a democracy the people are the leaders; not the spokespersons/ representitives; they are public servants. Thats where the problem with our current government lies. We The People don't Understand our Authority; neither do those who serve us.

"True but incomplete; It is necessarry that some who are courageous step to the front as spokesperson(s)/representatives to speak on behalf of the group; It is also necessarry others are ready to step up and take their place at a moments notice. "

yeah but you don't have much of a point you said "It is necessarry that some who are courageous step to the front as spokesperson(s)/representatives" that would be leaders.. some is a general response meaning what??? one two..your not specific enough to understand. and also you said "Thats where the problem with our current government lies. We The People don't Understand our Authority; neither do those who serve us." which is a odd statement considering we are all finding our voice in this occupy together movement. your saying to many things at once..you don't really have a straight forward response.
