I think that this can be more efficient if restricted to colleges. I believe that too many high school students may walk-out just to miss class and they may be under-informed(not to say all students are). I think this is a sensitive area, as made apparent by the discussion, and it could too easily bring negative publicity to the movement.
  • It could but, I feel the positives outweigh the negatives.

Though, I do go to HS in an alternative highschool so, perhaps my assessment of HSers is inaccurate. Either way to restrict it to one group or another would be poor forme.

I sure hope there is some preparation beforehand and follow-up afterwards. For example, some discussion about the larger systemic issues and how they involve the future of the students so the kids get a real educational experience and a sense of responsibility / participation / power of the collective and social consciousness / other related economic and political education. This could open up a new world to a lot of people. I actually believe this is essential education and experience before kids are totally brainwashed / made totally obedient and conformist to authority effectively imprisoning them by conquest and occupation of their minds. I believe in diversity of thoughts and experiences as a foundation for a healthy mind and a responsible citizen.
