Does Anyone Have Advice on Park Closure Ordinances?
  • marshallgetto October 2011 +1 -1
    Hello Fellow 99%s,

Basically, the issue is explained in my Facebook note found here: https://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=10150344034485116

It breaks down to them analyzing the ordinances on the books and deciding to enforce the anti-camping and park closure ordinances. Obviously, we sorta knew this would happen and just because we took them slightly by surprise on the first day, I had a feeling this is what they would. Our local police have been very respectful of our movement and I, of course, wish to keep this positive relation. Does anyone have any advice, legal or tactical, regarding these types of ordinances and what our options are?

Thank you in advance and #OccupySantaBarbara is staying in solidarity for the long haul,
