Occupy a Legislative Seat - Recall Republicans
  • Jed December 2011 +1 -1 (+1 / -0 )
Apologies if this has been already discussed...

I'd love to see the Occupy movement take on Republicans in the House and Senate starting at the top with Eric Cantor and John Boehnor, and working the way down. Start a movement to "occupy" their legislative seats by systematically recalling and replacing Republicans with a representative that will stand up for the 99%. It's already happening in Wisconsin with Gov. Walker. Let's make it a national movement.

Could not agree more...............Replace Republicans with Conservative. At least most Democrats can be labeled something (liberal or progressive) that describes their views. More and more being called "Republican" means very little. America does need Republicans, it needs Consevative. Strong in conviction to the process our Constitution
lays out for us, reguardless of the outcome. If we decide as a group on a direction, so be it, as long as we arrived there together.

Do conservatives have the cornerstone on the constitution? I think not.
  • gott5gott5 December 2011 +1 -1
no... but if you are not willing to live by the outcome of what the constitution produces (when it is properly followed) how can it be the cornerstone it was meant to be?

Based on the recent vote on the NDAA, most of the Democrats need to be replaced as bad the Republicans. They may speak to our cause more, but they are owned by corporate America. Why else would they vote to destroy the Bill of Rights and create a police state.

And just as I have said ....we can count on the US Constitution......we just need to expect accountability.

I think both the Republi'cants and the Demo'rats are both the problem and have their hands in the pockets of big business. Labels are labels, and when you get wrapped up in labels, you miss what is really going on. liberal, conservative, progressive, socialist, blah blah blah.... how about just two terms?.... 'crooked' or 'straight' ????
  • esmart January 2012 +1 -1
ok...so if you disagree its crooked, if you agree its straight? Would you suggest another measurement like who gave contributions? How do you measure motives?
