I loved the Pittsburgh OCCUPY.... we need an OCCUPY WHITE HOUSE. Start at the top!. All those politicians... both Demo'rat and Republi'cant are scumbags and have their hads in the pockets of corporations. No change can happen until we get rid of the 'labels' and finally realize they are all garbage and destroying the middle class. When is someone going to arrange OCCUPY WHITE HOUSE? real change begins at the top....

"Start at the top" ... that's what Occupy Wall St. did... Wall Street money runs Washington DC.
  • marrand January 2012 +1 -1
Finally. OWS started right with Wallstreet, but then things got chaotic. I recall suggesting going right to the top - the White House early on, but no one cared.
If organized right, this would really get the WORLD's attention, not only local press.

This is still happening right? Let me get a 1love if your going to stand with us @ Washington DC
  • stringband January 2012 +1 -1
If Obama can't even get his own agenda passed, how is he going to do anything for OWS?
  • stringband January 2012 +1 -1
Will the OWS movement offer their votes in the next election?

Why not join us in the Democratic Party and help us expel the Wall Street neo-conservative influence from our party?

The trolls will do their best to convince you to stay home and not vote but you get to decide. Don't let the nihilist make your decision for you with their, "all are bad, all is lost" arguments.
  • marrand January 2012 +1 -1
Once OWS joins a political party, they become beholden to it. Best to stay independent and focus on corrupt banking on Wall street, the issue we started out with.
  • esmart January 2012 +1 -1
government is the puppet, wall street is the puppeteer. Go straight the puppeteer. I still believe the Democratic party is closer to our views. I suppose if a republican wins the election we could pull a nixon on them.
  • stringband January 2012 +1 -1
@marrand-I'm not "beholden" to anyone and you don't have to be either. But, if want to try to make a difference you have to take a side (R or D) and work to convince others to join you. Does anyone get 100%? No. But that should not stop you from working toward that goal. It is as old as time itself, the building of groups or coalitions for the betterment of those involved. The 1% certainly know this.

Democrat... Republican... Democrat... Republican ..... When you are affiliated with either party, you are doomed. It's like being happy you backed the winner in a fist fight between your two crack dealers in your neighborhood, and now you want the winning crack dealer to 'stamp out illegal drug use'. Good luck with that one! You are doomed, he is still doomed, and the neighborhood is still doomed....

Corporate corruption is just as much part of the Democtratic party as it is the Republican, and I am sure if the Libertarian, Independent, or any other side-line party moved up the food chain by selling out America for $$$, then they would be just as bad.

Esmart and stringband... Want to see the Occupy movement die instantly? Associate yourself with the Democratic Party and get into the radar of the other corrupt party. If you don't think that a 'horrific event' will not happen, and maybe BY the other party to ruin the 'credibility' of Occupy once and for all, guess again!. Read about the 'Militia Movement' that gained the support of Senators and States over night and died when Timothy McVeigh took down that Federal building. They made instant enemies from every party and side forever. Public Opinion...negative is just as important as positive. Prove to me the Government, ATF, Janet Reno, or some other Government thug DID NOT have a hand in it, and I'll buy you lunch for a year. We'll never know, but everyone knows one person or event, can ruin a movement. Learn from history, don't repeat it.

Right now you have half America Republican and the other half Democrat, voting for the 'lesser of two evils'... BUT... in the back of their minds maybe knowing the Occupy movement might be doing something right... a little crazy?... maybe... but at least SOMETHING!

Backing the Democratic Party would lose me and a lot of other people. Back the Republicans and the same thing too!... people who want the Wall Street corruption to end politics that are ruining the country that we love and live in and see a future of kings and servants instead of a land of opportunity.

Thanks for reading my thoughts about hopping the Demo'rats and Republi'cants...
