This is just one idea. Imagine using a mapping technology like this in various activities e.g., for reporting emergency events (e.g., police attacks quantified and qualified, mass arrests, epidemics, earthquakes and tsunamis), organizing protests / meetings / neighborhood and community activities and other public events. The visual aid of the map can serve to spread the message more effectively as well as help in planning and prevention activities. For example if there is a call for help somewhere, one can monitor in real-time the amount of help arriving at the scene. This becomes important especially when there are simultaneous events going on in different areas (e.g., neighborhoods) helping to allocate social resources by activists more effectively.

What other ways can you imagine this kind of technology adapted for movement's work. What other communications technologies / adaptations can you suggest to help the movement (both short-term and long-term)?
